Nextie Supreme SGV carbon wheelset

A complete wheelset built around the Supreme SGV rim. Nextie laces a pair of Supreme SGV rims to its own Rollingstar II Road or Rollingstar III Road hubs with Sapim spokes and black alloy nipples, in 3 sizes (39-64mm deep), tensions and trues both wheels in its Xiamen factory and ships the pair complete.

ProWheelBuilder is an independent wheel builder in Georgia and a Nextie dealer, not the manufacturer: we sell the wheelset and check your axle, freehub and size choices before the order goes in.

Building your pair

Every Nextie Supreme SGV wheelset is sold as a front and rear pair, and the two wheels do not have to match. Pick the front depth and the rear depth separately: a shallower front for crosswinds with a deeper rear for speed is the common choice, and a matched pair is one click. The front is never deeper than the rear, so a deeper front with a shallower rear is not built. The rear follows the front until you choose a different one. Both wheels share the hub set, so they share the drilling; a depth that is not made in the drilling you picked is struck through.

Sizes, wheelset weights and prices

Wheelset weight is the complete pair as built: both rims, spokes, nipples and the hub set, from the lightest spoke and hub choice to the heaviest. Prices are for a matched pair on the least expensive hub; mixed front and rear pairs are priced from the two rims you choose.

The rim

The SGV is the Supreme gravel rim for big tires: a 32mm inner width in the T800 and T1000 Supreme layup, from 340 grams in the 39mm depth. It is the lightest way to run a 45 to 50mm gravel tire, with a five-year warranty.

Supreme is Nextie's top edition: a T800 and ultra-light T1000 carbon blend, the Advanced Single-Point independent spoke-bed mold, roundness and flatness held within 0.15mm, and a 5-year factory warranty - the lowest weight Nextie can reach with the highest impact resistance. The SGV sizes do not carry their own UCI certificate; in the same Supreme gravel edition, the Alpha 45G and Alpha 55G are UCI-approved. Nextie rates these rims for a maximum system weight of 149 to 174 kg (rider plus bike and gear). The Nextie Supreme SGV rim page carries Nextie's published lab results, test videos and certificates in full.

Hubs, spokes and drive

Hub choices: Nextie Rollingstar II Road 12x100 / 12x142 24H, Centerlock rotor mount; Nextie Rollingstar III Road 12x100 / 12x142 24H, Centerlock rotor mount. The hub sets the drilling, 24H, and both wheels use the same set.

Spokes are Sapim: the round Race (2.0/1.8mm double-butted) for durability, or the bladed CX-Ray for less weight and drag, both with black alloy nipples. Freehub bodies: Shimano Road (HG), Shimano Micro Spline Road 12S, SRAM XDR, Campagnolo N3W 13S.

Finish: matte or glossy carbon. Decals: None, Outline White, Solid Black, Glossy Solid Black, Solid Chromium. Bead: Hooked or Hookless.

Value

The SGV sits at about half the price of the boutique carbon gravel rims it is measured against, with Supreme fiber and a five-year warranty direct from Nextie's molds.

Ordering and lead time

Nextie builds each wheelset to order in Xiamen, so allow roughly two weeks for the build plus transit. The price at the top of the page is the complete wheelset as configured. Want a single wheel, a different hub, other spokes, or a wheel laced here in Georgia? Build it in the Custom Wheel Program, which opens with the Nextie Supreme SGV rim already selected.

Warranty

Manufacturer's warranty. Nextie warrants this product against defects in materials and workmanship. The duration, conditions and claim process are set by Nextie and can change without notice, so ask us and we will confirm the current terms before you buy.

ProWheelBuilder. Because this wheelset comes assembled from its maker, the warranty that applies is theirs, set out above; ProWheelBuilder's one-year wheel warranty is for wheels we build here. Either way, a claim goes through us and we will manage it.

Full terms are on our Policies & Warranty page.

Nextie Supreme SGV wheelset questions

What tire width suits the SGV?

Nextie lists 51 to 75mm for the 32mm bed. In practice it is happiest from about 45mm up, where the wide bed keeps the tire's sidewalls upright at low pressure.

What is the difference between the SGV and the SGX?

Both are 32mm gravel beds. The SGV is the Supreme-edition version in the lighter T800 and T1000 layup with a five-year warranty; the SGX is the Premium version. We offer the SGV.

Can I run a different depth front and rear on the Nextie Supreme SGV wheelset?

Yes. Pick the front and rear size separately; the price is the two rims you chose plus the build, and a matched pair costs exactly what it always has. Both wheels share one drilling because they share the hub set.

Can I buy one Supreme SGV wheel on its own?

Not from this page: the factory-built wheelset is sold as a pair. A single front or rear wheel on this rim can be built in the Custom Wheel Program.

Which hub should I choose?

Rollingstar II is the value choice; Rollingstar III is the lighter hub set, about 60 grams lighter for the pair. Each hub is drilled one way, so the drilling and the hub are chosen together.

Is ProWheelBuilder the manufacturer of the Nextie Supreme SGV?

No. Nextie designs and manufactures the rims and hubs and builds this wheelset in Xiamen. ProWheelBuilder is an independent wheel builder in Georgia and a Nextie dealer: we sell it, check your choices before the order goes in and handle any warranty claim.

Not sure which size? Text or leave a voicemail on 470-253-0929 or email info@prowheelbuilder.com — you will be talking to the people who build the wheels.
