A new website. The same shop, the same hands.
On October 4, 2026, ProWheelBuilder moved to a brand-new website. Every wheel is still laced, tensioned and trued by hand in our shop in Cumming, Georgia, by the same builders. What changed is everything around the build: how you design a wheel, what we carry, how you find it, and how you get it.
Here is what is new, and how it helps you.
- Custom wheel builder
- Build Assistant
- Factory built wheels
- Nextie carbon
- New hubs
- New rims
- Search
- Rim & Hub Finder
- Spoke calculator
- Your account
- In-store pickup
Design your wheel and watch it come together
The Custom Wheel Program has been rebuilt from the ground up. On our old site you built the front wheel and then the rear, one part at a time, and saw only a parts list. Now you pick a rim, hub, spokes, nipples and lacing pattern once for a matched pair (or build a single wheel), and watch the wheel take shape as you go.
- Live 3D wheel preview. Your wheel is drawn in 3D as you build it. Rim depth, hub color, spoke color, nipple color and lacing pattern all update as you choose them.
- Graded for how you ride. Every rim and hub is graded for your riding and your weight as you build, and a strength indicator shows what each change does to durability and weight.
- Every combination is checked. Hole counts, axle standards, brake type, spoke heads and nipple types are matched as you go, so you cannot order parts that will not build into a wheel.
- Save it, email it, come back to it. Save a build to finish later, or email a copy of the full parts list to yourself, a riding buddy or our builders for a second opinion.
The Build Assistant: your wheel options in minutes
On our old site, wheel advice meant filling out a form and waiting for us to email you back. The Build Assistant gives you answers right away. Tell it about you and your bike, and it suggests several complete, compatible builds, ranked by what matters most to you.
1. Tell us about you
How you ride, from road and gravel to touring, tandem, mountain and fat bike, along with your weight, how hard you ride, your budget, and whether you want aluminum or carbon.
2. Fit it to your bike
Brake type, wheel size, axles, freehub driver and the tire width you run. Add a favorite rim or hub brand and spoke or nipple colors if you have them.
3. Pick your build
Choose what matters most, whether that is toughness, weight or aerodynamics. Every build shows how it was ranked. Save the ones you like, or click Build this to open one in the builder and fine-tune it.
Would you rather talk it through? Consult With A Builder, on the same page, sends your question straight to our builders.
Try the Build AssistantFactory built wheels
Factory Built Wheels is a new section of the store, with more than 90 complete wheelsets from ENVE, Industry Nine, Rolf Prima and Nextie. On each wheelset's page you pick the wheel size, axles and freehub driver that fit your bike, and on many models the colors too.
Industry Nine
System wheelsets for mountain, gravel and road, with seven hub colors and seven spoke colors. The photo changes to show the colors you pick.

Nextie carbon rims and wheelsets
Nextie carbon is now part of our lineup. Every Nextie rim model has its own page with its depth, width, weight and riding style, so you can compare them side by side. Nextie rims are built into wheels here in our shop, on the hub you choose, through the Custom Wheel Program.
Prefer a matched set? Nextie wheelsets are listed by model, and a quick picker on the Nextie wheels page narrows them down by how you ride and whether you want the lightest, the most aero or the most durable set.

Built on your hub
Pair a Nextie rim with any compatible hub in the builder and we lace it by hand.
Build with NextieNew and refreshed hubs
On our old site, most hubs showed a single photo no matter which color or axle you chose. We added new hub lines and reworked the pages for several favorites, so the photo you see now matches the hub you are ordering.
Wolf Tooth
New to our lineup: Wolf Tooth road and gravel hubs and mountain Boost hubs, in a range of anodized colors.

Velo Orange Chronos
Velo Orange's newest hubs replace the previous models, including new Boost front and rear versions.

Onyx

More DT Swiss

See DT Swiss rimsA search that understands bike parts
The search box at the top of every page is new, and it was built around the way riders actually type.
- Every word counts. On our old site, a search for "rim tape" listed rims first. Now it lists rim tape.
- Spelling and spacing do not matter. "dt240" finds DT Swiss 240 hubs, "i9" finds Industry Nine, and "cxray" finds Sapim CX-Ray spokes.
- Colors are searchable. Search "red hub" or "gold nipples" and the results open on that color.
Rim Finder and Hub Finder, rebuilt
The old finders were long tables you filtered by typing into boxes. The new Rim Finder and Hub Finder put every rim and hub we stock side by side, with simple drop-down filters and columns you can show or hide. Click any rim or hub to view it or start a build with it.
Rim Finder
Filter by brand, internal width, depth, brake type, material, wheel size, drilling and color. A Toughness rating helps you compare how much abuse each rim is built for.
Open the Rim FinderHub Finder
Filter by brand, front or rear, brake mount, axle, freehub driver, spoke type, drilling, material and color, so you only see hubs that fit your bike.
Open the Hub FinderThe spoke calculator, rebuilt
Our free Spoke Length Calculator runs on a much larger rim and hub database, the same one our builders use for every wheel we build. You can save your builds and come back to them, and if you prefer the calculator you know from our old site, the Classic Calculator is one click away at the top of the page, using the same up-to-date measurements.
