DT Swiss 350 Big Ride 2021 + Front Black ISO 6 Bolt Disc Hub
This page covers the DT Swiss 350 Big Ride 2021 + Front Black ISO 6 Bolt Disc Hub.
We sell the 350 Big Ride only inside a wheel we build. Choose the rim, spokes and nipples in the configurator and the finished 350 wheel ships from our shop in Georgia, laced, tensioned and trued by hand.
Design and construction
This is the front hub, and a front hub has no freehub. What matters here is the part of the hub that carries the wheel: the bearings, the seals, the axle and the two flanges, and the front 350 Big Ride shares all of them with its rear partner. It is the simpler half of the pair and the one that runs longest between services. The driver and engagement story belongs on the rear hub's page; this page is about a front wheel that spins freely, stays sealed and builds stiff.
How it rides
A DT 350 does not draw attention to itself, which is exactly what you want from a hub.
For most riders the 350 is the right trade.
A front wheel is where you feel a hub least and a build most. With no drive torque to carry, the front 350 Big Ride can be laced two-cross or even radial on the non-rotor side on a rim-brake bike, which makes a lighter, more direct-feeling wheel; on a disc bike we lace both sides crossed so the rotor's braking torque has spokes to pull against. Either way the front wheel is the one that steers, and a stiff, true front wheel is most of what makes a bike feel precise.

This listing
This is the 6-bolt version: Thru Axle 15x150mm, 32h drilling, about 215g, in black. Same internals and flanges as every other 350 Big Ride; only the mount and axle differ.
This is the 6-bolt 350 Big Ride: the rotor bolts to a flange with six T25 bolts, which is the mount most mountain and gravel rotors still use and the easiest to find a rotor for on the road. If you run centerlock rotors, choose the centerlock version of the same hub instead.
Sizes, fit and compatibility
The DT Swiss 350 Big Ride 2021 + Front Black ISO 6 Bolt Disc Hub comes in the drillings listed on this page in fat-bike thru-axle spacing: 150mm front and 197mm rear.
The 350 Big Ride is a J-bend hub, which opens up every spoke we stock. We build it onto Sun Ringle Mulefut, Surly, HED Big Deal and the other fat rims in the catalog, usually with Sapim Race or Competition spokes and brass nipples. Tell the configurator your bike type and weight and it will suggest a spoke count that suits the drilling you pick.
Build it with us
We build this hub to order. Open the Custom Wheel Program with the DT Swiss 350 Big Ride 2021 + Front Black ISO 6 Bolt Disc Hub already selected and pick the parts around it; it is offered for MTB single-speed and fat bike builds, and the configurator will not let you assemble a combination we would not build.
What DT Swiss says about testing
DT Swiss hubs pass through the same Performance Test Center in Biel as its rims. DT Swiss states that its laboratory tests replicate what products endure in the field over the whole product life cycle, under an internal factory standard that ensures compliance with ISO 4210. DT Swiss publishes no bearing-life, salt-spray or water-ingress figures.
DT Swiss fits industrial ball bearings to all its hubs and describes them as easy to replace. It recommends cleaning and re-greasing hubs every 12 months in normal use and every 3 months in extreme conditions (regular riding in dust, rain or snow, or frequent transport in the rain). The warranty is 24 months from purchase against material and manufacturing defects; ball bearings are wear parts and excluded.

Certifications
- ISO 4210 / ASTM F 2043 — DT Swiss states its internal factory standard 'ensures compliance with the current international standards (e.g. ISO 4210)' and sets test parameters by ASTM F 2043 riding conditions (self-declared, no certificate published) (source)
- Warranty — 24 months legal warranty against material and manufacturing defects; ball bearings are wear parts and excluded (source)
- Service interval — Clean and re-grease every 12 months (normal use) or every 3 months (extreme conditions) (source)

Building it at ProWheelBuilder
DT Swiss makes the 350 Big Ride; ProWheelBuilder is an independent custom wheel builder in Georgia and not the manufacturer. Every 350 Big Ride wheel we build gets spokes cut from the measured ERD of the rim, staged tensioning with a gauge, stress relief and a final true before it ships.
In the configurator you will only see parts that fit this drilling; combinations that are not made are struck through, and the price updates as you pick.
Warranty
DT Swiss's warranty. DT Swiss covers its products against material and manufacturing defects for 24 months from purchase, excluding wear parts such as bearings and tubeless tape. Carbon rims and carbon wheels bought new since 1 January 2020 carry an extended guarantee to the first owner against defects in material and workmanship, and DT Swiss runs a paid crash-replacement scheme on carbon wheels for up to ten years from purchase.
ProWheelBuilder. Built into a wheel by us, this part is covered by our own one-year wheel warranty on top of the maker's. For a year we replace broken spokes whatever caused them, and we cover the labor on the wheel - truing, re-tensioning, a rebuild if it needs one. If a rim or hub fails and its maker covers it, we run that claim for you; if the maker says no, you get an eligible replacement rim or hub at 25% off retail. You pay the shipping each way. Wheels built from parts you send us are excluded.

350 Big Ride 2021 + Front Black ISO 6 Bolt Disc Hub questions
Will my rotors fit this hub?
This is the 6-bolt version: any ISO 6-bolt rotor bolts straight on with six T25 bolts, which is still the most common and the easiest rotor to replace anywhere. Centerlock rotors do not fit it - for those, take the centerlock version of the same hub, listed separately.
Which spokes and nipples suit the 350 Big Ride?
For most riders a double-butted spoke such as Sapim Race or DT Competition with brass nipples; lighter riders can go to Sapim Laser or CX-Ray. The configurator recommends a gauge and count for the 350 Big Ride from your bike type and weight.
Which axle spacing does it fit?
Thru Axle 15x150mm Front. Measure between the inside faces of your dropouts if you are unsure, or text us.
Does it need special spokes?
No. It takes standard J-bend spokes, which the configurator offers in every gauge and finish we stock.
How long will the wheel take?
Build time comes down to parts availability rather than bench time. The estimated ship date is shown in the configurator before you check out.
