Wolf Tooth Road Gravel Front Straight Pull Centerlock Disc Hub
Wolf Tooth's road and gravel front hub is a 110-gram, 24-hole straight-pull shell for 12x100mm thru-axle forks and centerlock rotors. Wolf Tooth, best known for the chainrings and tools it machines in Minnesota, turns the shell and axle from 7075-T6 aluminum in-house and builds its hubs around ENVE's INNERDRIVE internals. This page covers the front hub.
Buy it on its own, or let us lace it to a rim in the Custom Wheel Program and ship the wheel from our shop in Georgia, tensioned and trued by hand.
Design and construction
A front hub has no freehub to carry, so what matters is the shell, the bearings and the flanges. Wolf Tooth machines a short, straight-pull flange on each side, with the rotor-side flange pulled in toward the center to leave room for the centerlock spline and the drive side pushed out to 34.2mm, which is what lets a dished disc front wheel run sensible tension on both sides.
The axle is 7075-T6 like the shell, and the bearing setup is ENVE's Perfect Preload: the preload is set by the parts rather than by hand, so there is no adjuster to drift loose over a gravel season.
How it rides
Light, quiet and stiff for its weight. At 110 grams it is one of the lightest disc front hubs we build with, and the straight-pull flanges keep the spoke line clean from hub to rim, which is where a 24-spoke front wheel gets its lateral stiffness.
It suits a fast road disc bike, a race gravel bike and anything in between where the front wheel should feel taut and weigh little.

This listing
One hub: the 24-hole, 12x100mm centerlock road and gravel front, in black, gold or ultraviolet purple. Wolf Tooth makes it in 24 holes only, and it takes centerlock rotors only - there is no 6-bolt version of this shell.
The flange numbers in the table come from Wolf Tooth's own hub spec sheet; our spoke calculator and configurator use the same figures, so the spoke lengths you are quoted are worked from them.
Sizes, fit and compatibility
Fits forks with 12x100mm thru-axle spacing, the road and gravel standard. Rotors must be centerlock. Spokes must be straight pull, and a bladed spoke can be no wider than 2.6mm, which comfortably clears Sapim CX-Ray, our house straight-pull bladed spoke; round straight-pull Sapim Race works too.
Pair it with the matching Wolf Tooth road and gravel rear hub for a set, and any 24-hole road or gravel disc rim we stock - the configurator only shows rims drilled to match.
Build a wheel around it
Offered for road disc, gravel and touring builds in our Custom Wheel Program. Start with the Wolf Tooth Road Gravel Front Straight Pull Centerlock Disc Hub and the configurator pins it for you, then checks each choice you make against it.
What Wolf Tooth says about testing
Wolf Tooth says its hub shells, machined in the USA, "have been thoroughly tested in the lab and in the field", and that the ENVE INNERDRIVE internals "have also undergone thorough testing in real world conditions, races and all types of weather". For the front hub there is no freehub to test - the claim that matters here is the shell's. Wolf Tooth does not publish bearing-life, salt-spray or ISO 4210 figures for these hubs.

Everything in this section is published by Wolf Tooth. ProWheelBuilder is the wheel builder, not the tester, and the hub reaches us as the maker ships it.
Building it at ProWheelBuilder
Wolf Tooth makes the hub; ProWheelBuilder is an independent wheel builder in Georgia and not the manufacturer. A straight-pull front is laced with the spokes orientated into the flange slots, brought up to tension in stages with a gauge, stress-relieved and trued, and each spoke is cut to the measured ERD of your rim rather than a catalog figure.
Choices that do not fit this hub - J-bend spokes, a 28-hole rim - are struck through in the configurator so you cannot pick them by accident.
Warranty
Wolf Tooth's warranty. Wolf Tooth warrants its hubs against defects in material or workmanship for five years from purchase, to the original owner and with proof of purchase, repairing or replacing the defective parts at its discretion. Bearings, normal wear including fading of the anodized finish, routine maintenance and improper installation or use are not covered, and Wolf Tooth asks to be contacted before anything is returned.
ProWheelBuilder. Wheels we build around this part are covered by our own one-year warranty alongside the maker's. Within the year: broken spokes replaced regardless of cause, and the labor on the wheel - truing, re-tensioning or a complete rebuild - included. A manufacturer-covered rim or hub failure is a claim we make and manage for you; one they will not cover is answered with an eligible replacement at 25% off retail. Shipping each way is yours. Parts you supply yourself fall outside it.

Road Gravel Front Straight Pull Centerlock Disc Hub questions
Can I use 6-bolt rotors?
Not directly. This shell is centerlock only. A centerlock-to-6-bolt adapter will mount a 6-bolt rotor, at some cost in weight.
Does it come in 28 holes?
No. Wolf Tooth makes the road and gravel hubs in 24 holes only.
Which spokes can I use?
Straight-pull spokes only. Bladed spokes must be 2.6mm wide or narrower; Sapim CX-Ray fits, and round Sapim Race straight pull is the budget option.
Will it fit a 15mm thru-axle fork?
No - it is for 12x100mm thru-axle road and gravel forks. For 15x110 Boost mountain forks, look at the Wolf Tooth Mountain Boost front.
Is it really made in the USA?
Wolf Tooth says the shells and axles are machined in-house in the USA; the INNERDRIVE internals are ENVE's design.
