ENVE Brake Pads for Textured Brake Tracks, Shimano
A pair of ENVE's own brake pad inserts for Shimano-style rim-brake cartridges, made for the textured carbon brake track on ENVE's 2016-and-newer rim-brake wheels. ENVE designed them specifically for its 2016 and newer 4.5 and 7.8 rims.
Fit
They are cartridge inserts in Shimano's shape, so they slide into Shimano road caliper pad holders. If you are not sure what your holders take, check the shape of the old insert - or text us a photo.

Fitting them
Clean the rim's brake track and the pad holder before fitting, set the toe-in as your caliper's maker recommends, and bed the pads in with a few firm stops on a quiet road before riding hard. Pads that have run on an aluminum rim should not go back onto carbon.
Warranty
ENVE Composites's warranty. ENVE gives the original owner a five-year limited warranty against defects in materials and workmanship, alongside its Lifetime Incident Protection program, which covers rims, forks, bars, stems, seatposts and hubs damaged in riding incidents.
ProWheelBuilder. Our own one-year warranty is a wheel warranty - it covers wheels we build, not tools or accessories. This item is covered by its manufacturer, as set out above.

Brake Pads for Textured Brake Tracks, Shimano questions
Will these fit SRAM calipers?
Many SRAM road calipers use Shimano-style pad holders, but not all. Compare the old insert's shape with these, or send us a photo and we will tell you.
Can I use them on an aluminum rim?
They are made for ENVE's textured carbon brake track. On an aluminum rim use a pad made for aluminum, and never swap a pad between the two.
Not sure? Text or leave a voicemail on 470-253-0929 or email info@prowheelbuilder.com — you will be talking to the people who build the wheels.
