Nextie Black Eagle II carbon wheelset
A complete wheelset built around the Black Eagle II rim. Nextie laces a pair of Black Eagle II rims to its own Rollingstar II Fatbike hubs with Sapim spokes and black alloy nipples, in the 65mm wide size, tensions and trues both wheels in its Xiamen factory and ships the pair complete.

The rim
The Black Eagle II 65 is a double-wall fat rim at a 58mm inner width: the narrowest of Nextie's double-wall fat rims, for 3.2 to 4.5in tires, at 580 grams. It is the fat rim we suggest for a bike that splits its time between trail and snow.
There is no UCI approval for fat-bike wheels; the approvals listed on the rim page are Nextie's road and gravel certificates, from the same factory and test lab. Nextie rates this rim for a maximum system weight of 160 kg (rider plus bike and gear). Hubs, spokes and drive
Hub choices: Nextie Rollingstar II Fatbike 15x150 / 12x197, 36-tooth engagement, 6-bolt rotor mount. The hub sets the drilling, 32H, and both wheels use the same set.
Spokes are Sapim: the round Race (2.0/1.8mm double-butted) for durability, or the bladed CX-Ray for less weight and drag, both with black alloy nipples. Freehub bodies: Shimano MTB (HG), SRAM XD, Micro Spline 12S.
Finish: matte or glossy carbon. Decals: None, Outline White, Solid White, Solid Black, Glossy Solid Black, Solid Sunset, Solid Sky Blue, Solid Lilac, Solid Chromium.

Ordering and lead time
Nextie builds each wheelset to order in Xiamen, so allow roughly two weeks for the build plus transit. The price at the top of the page is the complete wheelset as configured. Warranty
Manufacturer's warranty. Nextie warrants this product against defects in materials and workmanship. The duration, conditions and claim process are set by Nextie and can change without notice, so ask us and we will confirm the current terms before you buy.
ProWheelBuilder. These wheels were built at the factory, not on our bench, so it is the maker's warranty above that stands behind them - our own one-year wheel warranty covers wheels we lace ourselves. If you do need to claim, we will deal with the manufacturer for you.

Nextie Black Eagle II wheelset questions
Black Eagle or Xiphias 65?
Both suit 3.2 to 4.5in tires. The Xiphias 65 is single-wall and lighter; the Black Eagle II 65 is double-wall, stiffer and rated for a 160kg system weight against the Xiphias 65's 134kg.
Which diameters does the Black Eagle come in?
26in and 27.5in, both 32-hole.
Can I buy one Black Eagle II wheel on its own?
Not from this page: the factory-built wheelset is sold as a pair. A single front or rear wheel on this rim can be built in the Custom Wheel Program.
