Nextie Drunken Rhinoceros carbon wheelset
A complete wheelset built around the Drunken Rhinoceros rim. Nextie laces a pair of Drunken Rhinoceros rims to its own Rollingstar II Fatbike hubs with Sapim spokes and black alloy nipples, in the 128mm wide size, tensions and trues both wheels in its Xiamen factory and ships the pair complete.

The rim
The Drunken Rhinoceros is the widest rim Nextie makes: 128mm across, a 120mm inner width, for 5.2 to 6.5in tires. It is a double-wall carbon fat rim at 800 grams, rated for a 300kg maximum system weight, the highest of any Nextie rim.
There is no UCI approval for fat-bike wheels; the approvals listed on the rim page are Nextie's road and gravel certificates, from the same factory and test lab. Nextie rates this rim for a maximum system weight of 300 kg (rider plus bike and gear). Hubs, spokes and drive
Hub choices: Nextie Rollingstar II Fatbike 15x150 / 12x197, 36-tooth engagement, 6-bolt rotor mount. The hub sets the drilling, 32H, and both wheels use the same set.
Spokes are Sapim: the round Race (2.0/1.8mm double-butted) for durability, or the bladed CX-Ray for less weight and drag, both with black alloy nipples. Freehub bodies: Shimano MTB (HG), SRAM XD, Micro Spline 12S.
Finish: matte or glossy carbon. Decals: None, Outline White, Solid White, Solid Black, Glossy Solid Black, Solid Chromium.

Ordering and lead time
Nextie builds each wheelset to order in Xiamen, so allow roughly two weeks for the build plus transit. The price at the top of the page is the complete wheelset as configured. Warranty
Manufacturer's warranty. Nextie warrants this product against defects in materials and workmanship. The duration, conditions and claim process are set by Nextie and can change without notice, so ask us and we will confirm the current terms before you buy.

What frame do I need for the Drunken Rhinoceros?
A fat bike with clearance for 5in-plus tires, normally a 197mm rear and 150mm front hub spacing. Check your frame's clearance for a 128mm rim and your chosen tire before you build.
How heavy a rider can it carry?
Nextie rates it for a 300kg maximum system weight, which is rider, bike and gear together.
Can I buy one Drunken Rhinoceros wheel on its own?
