DT Swiss 350 2021 + Straight Pull Front Black Hub
The DT Swiss 350 Straight Pull Front Hub is a rim-brake road front made for radial lacing: 20 holes, a 100mm quick-release axle and 114 grams by DT's figure. It is the classic recipe for a light, stiff road front that stays true.
This is the straight-pull 350 rim-brake front; the J-bend 350 rim-brake front is a separate listing. We build it to order by hand in Georgia.
Design and construction
With no rotor, a road front can be perfectly symmetrical, and this one is: flanges of 26.15mm on both sides, each 37.8mm from center, with straight-pull slots facing the rim. Radial spokes run straight out from the flange, and because the wheel carries no braking torque at the hub, a radial straight-pull front is as strong as it needs to be and as light as it can be.
What straight-pull changes is the spoke head. Instead of hooking through a hole and bending 90 degrees, each spoke drops into a slot and leaves the flange already pointing at the rim, so there is no elbow to fatigue. The slot also sets the angle every spoke takes, which is why a straight-pull hub dictates its own lacing pattern.
The bearings are sealed steel cartridges in an aluminum shell; the end caps pull off by hand for service.
How it rides
A radial 20-hole front steers crisply and feels a little livelier than a crossed 28-hole wheel. It is a road and race wheel; for loaded touring we would point you to a 32-hole J-bend front instead.
Being symmetrical, it builds with even tension on both sides, which is why a good radial front almost never needs truing.

This version
What this listing covers: the 350 straight-pull rim-brake front, 20h, QR 5x100, the version our distributors carry. A skewer is not included.
For disc forks choose the 350 2021 + Straight Pull Front Centerlock. A matching rear is the 350 2021 + Straight Pull Rear rim-brake hub.
Sizes, fit and compatibility
It fits rim-brake road forks with 100mm quick-release dropouts and any rim-brake rim drilled 20 that the rim maker approves for radial lacing. It needs straight-pull spokes.
Choose road as the bike type in the configurator and it shows only 20-hole rims for this hub.
Put it in a custom wheel
Build a custom wheel around the DT Swiss 350 2021 + Straight Pull Front Black Hub — the link drops you into our Custom Wheel Program with this hub pinned, ready for you to choose the rest. It is set up for road rim brake, touring and mountain bike builds.
Testing, standards and warranty at DT Swiss
DT Swiss hubs pass through the same Performance Test Center in Biel as its rims. DT Swiss states that its laboratory tests replicate what products endure in the field over the whole product life cycle, under an internal factory standard that ensures compliance with ISO 4210. DT Swiss publishes no bearing-life, salt-spray or water-ingress figures.
DT Swiss fits industrial ball bearings to all its hubs and describes them as easy to replace. It recommends cleaning and re-greasing hubs every 12 months in normal use and every 3 months in extreme conditions (regular riding in dust, rain or snow, or frequent transport in the rain). The warranty is 24 months from purchase against material and manufacturing defects; ball bearings are wear parts and excluded.

Certifications
- ISO 4210 / ASTM F 2043 — DT Swiss states its internal factory standard 'ensures compliance with the current international standards (e.g. ISO 4210)' and sets test parameters by ASTM F 2043 riding conditions (self-declared, no certificate published) (source)
- Warranty — 24 months legal warranty against material and manufacturing defects; ball bearings are wear parts and excluded (source)
- Service interval — Clean and re-grease every 12 months (normal use) or every 3 months (extreme conditions) (source)

Building it at ProWheelBuilder
We do not make the DT Swiss 350 straight-pull rim-brake front, DT Swiss does. ProWheelBuilder is an independent custom wheel shop in Georgia: we measure the rim, cut straight-pull spokes to length from DT's geometry, lace by hand, tension in stages, stress-relieve and finish the wheel true, round and correctly dished.
In the configurator the spoke choice narrows to straight-pull brands, the lacing step reads Determined by hub, and the price is live.
Warranty
DT Swiss's warranty. DT Swiss covers its products against material and manufacturing defects for 24 months from purchase, excluding wear parts such as bearings and tubeless tape. Carbon rims and carbon wheels bought new since 1 January 2020 carry an extended guarantee to the first owner against defects in material and workmanship, and DT Swiss runs a paid crash-replacement scheme on carbon wheels for up to ten years from purchase.
ProWheelBuilder. Any wheel we build on this part carries ProWheelBuilder's one-year warranty in addition to the manufacturer's. Broken spokes are replaced for a year whatever the cause, and all wheel-side labor is included - truing, re-tensioning, rebuilding. Where the maker covers a failed rim or hub we handle that claim for you; where they decline, an eligible replacement comes at 25% off current retail. The customer covers shipping in both directions. Components supplied by the customer are not covered.

350 Straight Pull Front Rim Brake questions
Why radial?
A rim-brake front carries no braking torque through its spokes, so it does not need crossed spokes. Radial is lighter and stiffer, and DT shapes this hub for it.
Is 20 holes enough?
For a road front on a modern rim, yes, for most riders. If you are heavy or ride rough roads, ask us about a 28 or 32-hole J-bend front instead.
Do I need special spokes?
Straight-pull spokes only; the configurator filters to them once this hub is chosen.
Does it come with a skewer?
No. It takes a standard 5mm quick-release skewer.
