ENVE SES 6.7 Pro Wheelset
The ENVE SES 6.7 PRO is the deep end of ENVE's hooked PRO road range. It builds on the previous-generation SES 6.7, which ran a 60mm front and 66mm rear, and carries over the construction ENVE developed for the SES 4.5 PRO with UAE Team Emirates and Tadej Pogacar. The result is a 59mm front and 65mm rear rim, a hooked bead, the INNERDRIVE PRO hubset and a wheelset weight of 1,495 grams plus or minus 3 percent including tape and valves.
This is a wheel for riders who want the aerodynamic advantage of a deep section without accepting the weight that usually comes with it. At 690 grams front and 805 grams rear, the SES 6.7 PRO weighs about what many mid-depth wheels do, which is the entire point of the PRO designation.
Design and construction
The SES 6.7 PRO rim is 22.5mm wide internally with a hooked bead, and the depth is 59mm front and 65mm rear. ENVE pairs the front and rear depths deliberately rather than running a matched set: the shallower front reduces the steering input a deep wheel picks up in a crosswind, while the deeper rear does the aerodynamic work where yaw angles are smaller.
Rim weight is 462 grams front and 478 grams rear. The effective rim diameter is 532mm front and 520mm rear, both plus or minus 1mm. Each wheel is laced 24 spokes with silver Alpina Ultralite OH TCX spokes and Alpina alloy internal nylock nipples, tensioned to 120kgf. The hubset is ENVE's INNERDRIVE PRO, 12x100mm at the front and 12x142mm at the rear, with centerlock rotor mounting.
ENVE optimizes the rim shape around a 28mm tire and sets the minimum at 27mm. Maximum pressure is 100 psi, or 7 bar, which is the ceiling the hooked bead allows.
How it rides
A 59 and 65mm wheelset that weighs 1,495 grams changes what a deep wheel feels like to ride. The weight is close enough to a mid-depth set that the usual penalty on a steep ramp or out of a slow corner is small, and what remains is the depth doing its job on the flat and at speed.
The paired depths matter in wind. A 59mm front gives the steering less surface to react against than a matched 65mm set would, so gusts translate into less correction at the bars while the rear keeps the aerodynamic benefit. The hooked bead and the 100 psi ceiling also mean riders who prefer a firmer tire are not forced down to the lower pressure limits a hookless rim imposes.
Laced 24 spokes at 120kgf onto the stiff PRO shell, the wheel holds its line under a hard effort rather than washing against the brake track, and the INNERDRIVE PRO freehub picks up quickly when you put power down again.

This page is the SES 6.7 Pro Wheelset itself, not a custom build. The choices on this page are driver type: None (front wheel), Shimano HG, SRAM XDR, Campagnolo N3W; decal color: Silver, White. This listing is the complete wheelset - front and rear together, not a single wheel.
Fit and compatibility
The SES 6.7 PRO is sold per wheel. Choose Front or Rear, and choose silver or white decals. Rear wheels are built with a Shimano HG, SRAM XDR, or Campagnolo N3W freehub body.
The wheel fits 700c disc road bikes with 12x100mm front and 12x142mm rear thru-axles and centerlock rotors. ENVE supplies each wheel with tubeless tape and a valve; the front takes an 80mm valve and the rear an 85mm.
What ENVE says about testing
ENVE Composites designs, tests and manufactures its carbon rims in an 80,000 square foot facility in Ogden, Utah. ENVE describes the site as having manufacturing, assembly, design, R&D, test lab, customer support and the business team under one roof, and says it has been committed to US manufacturing since 2007. Every SES rim is handmade in Ogden, and ENVE states that a new lay-up technician undergoes six months of training before certification. Wheels are built to order, which ENVE says minimizes waste and allows custom hub, spoke and decal options.
ENVE publishes its impact test program in detail. Three in-house standards are used: a standard impact test (since 2007) that drops a weight onto both rim walls to simulate square edge hits, with drop heights of 10 inches for XC, 12 inches for trail and 14 inches for gravity rims; a single sided impact test (since 2014) that loads only one rim wall, at 5, 6, 8 and 10 inches for XC, trail, gravity and DH race; and an every spoke hole impact test (since 2021) in which the wheel is rotated after each hit so every spoke hole is struck until first visible damage, which can mean more than 100 impacts on one rim. ENVE reports its current M Series rims outscore the previous generation on that cumulative fatigue score by 10 to 47 percent depending on model.
ENVE's hookless rims use a Wide Hookless Bead, a wider, more forgiving surface at the leading edge of the rim that ENVE says dissipates impact energy and reduces the likelihood of pinch flatting a tubeless tire. ENVE states the hookless design allows machined metal tooling to hold a precise bead seat diameter that meets the ETRTO requirement. In the eight years since its first hookless road wheels, ENVE reports more than 1,000 tubeless tire tests; for a tire to be listed as approved it must hold 120 psi, or 165 percent of the ETRTO/ISO reference pressure, well beyond the ISO 4210 requirement of 110 percent for five minutes. Maximum pressures are published per model: SES 3.4 and SES 4.5 are rated 80 psi with 27 to 29 mm tires and 67 psi with tires over 30 mm; SES 2.3 and SES 6.7 are rated 90 psi with a 25 mm tire. ENVE advises always defaulting to the lower of the rim and tire maximum. ENVE does not publish a wheel specific rider weight limit; its tire pressure guidance suggests riders in the 240 to 250 lb range move to 30 to 32 mm tires to stay within pressure limits, and its complete bikes carry a 300 lb rider limit.
The Smart ENVE System (SES) is built on the Real-World Fast philosophy developed with aerodynamicist Simon Smart since 2009. Rather than optimizing for a steady wind tunnel condition, ENVE develops rim shapes for rapid airflow reattachment after gusts, and states that SES wheels are tested at 20 mph and 30 mph across a weighted range of wind angles, with a shallower front rim for crosswind stability and a deeper rear rim for reduced drag. The SES PRO line was developed with UAE Team Emirates and Tadej Pogacar under World Tour requirements, which ENVE notes include compliance with the governing bodies, and ENVE's Custom Road bike is stated to be UCI compliant and approved for UCI sanctioned events. The INNERDRIVE hub in current SES and G Series wheels uses a 42 mm oversized ratchet positioned over the bearings with Perfect Preload wave washers, and ENVE says it has been proven by UAE Team Emirates over tens of thousands of World Tour miles.
ENVE covers rims and components with a Limited Lifetime Warranty against defects in materials and workmanship for the original owner (hub internals and bearings one year); subsequent owners receive five years from the manufacture date. A separate crash replacement program replaces rims and components at no charge for the first three years from purchase, with a prorated discount after that, for original owners with proof of purchase. ENVE says it does not design products to be indestructible, and that labor and shipping are not included.

SES 6.7 Pro questions
Is the SES 6.7 PRO hooked or hookless?
Hooked. ENVE lists the bead type as hooked, which is why the SES 6.7 PRO allows up to 100 psi where ENVE's hookless road rims stop lower.
Why is the front rim shallower than the rear?
ENVE pairs a 59mm front with a 65mm rear on purpose. The shallower front reduces the steering input a deep wheel picks up in a crosswind; the deeper rear sees smaller yaw angles and keeps the aerodynamic benefit.
How much does the SES 6.7 PRO weigh?
ENVE lists 690 grams front, 805 grams rear, and 1,495 grams for the set plus or minus 3 percent, including tape and valve. Rim weights are 462 and 478 grams.
What tire should I run?
ENVE optimizes the rim for a 28mm tire and sets 27mm as the minimum. Maximum pressure is 100 psi (7 bar).
Which freehub bodies are available?
Rear wheels are offered with Shimano HG, SRAM XDR, or Campagnolo N3W.
What is the ERD if I want to re-lace or replace a spoke?
ENVE publishes 532mm front and 520mm rear, both plus or minus 1mm. Factory spoke lengths are 268mm drive side and 266mm non-drive at the front, and 259mm drive side and 262mm non-drive at the rear.
