Nextie Supreme Ocean 45G carbon wheelset
A complete wheelset built around the Supreme Ocean 45G rim. Nextie laces a pair of Supreme Ocean 45G rims to its own Rollingstar II Road or Rollingstar III Road hubs with Sapim spokes and black alloy nipples, in the 45mm deep size, tensions and trues both wheels in its Xiamen factory and ships the pair complete.
ProWheelBuilder is an independent wheel builder in Georgia and a Nextie dealer, not the manufacturer: we sell the wheelset and check your axle, freehub and size choices before the order goes in.
Building your pair
The Nextie Supreme Ocean 45G wheelset is sold as a matched front and rear pair: both wheels use the same rim size.
Sizes, wheelset weights and prices
Wheelset weight is the complete pair as built: both rims, spokes, nipples and the hub set, from the lightest spoke and hub choice to the heaviest. Prices are for a matched pair on the least expensive hub.
| Size | Wheel | Inner width | Depth | Tire range | Rim weight | Wheelset weight | Drilling | Wheelset price |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Ocean 45G | 700c | 25mm | 45mm | 29-55mm | 385g | 1223-1343g | 24H | from $1115 |
The rim
The Ocean 45G is a 45mm Supreme rim with a smooth wall and a 25mm bed, at 385 grams. It is not a wave rim: the profile is a clean aero shape, built for a rider who splits time between fast road miles and gravel and wants one wheel set that does both.
Supreme is Nextie's top edition: a T800 and ultra-light T1000 carbon blend, the Advanced Single-Point independent spoke-bed mold, roundness and flatness held within 0.15mm, and a 5-year factory warranty - the lowest weight Nextie can reach with the highest impact resistance. The Ocean 45G does not carry its own UCI certificate; the approvals listed on the rim page are on Nextie's Alpha Supreme rims, including the Alpha 45G at the same depth and width. Nextie rates this rim for a maximum system weight of 160 kg (rider plus bike and gear). The Nextie Supreme Ocean 45G rim page carries Nextie's published lab results, test videos and certificates in full.
Hubs, spokes and drive
Hub choices: Nextie Rollingstar II Road 12x100 / 12x142 24H, Centerlock rotor mount; Nextie Rollingstar III Road 12x100 / 12x142 24H, Centerlock rotor mount. The hub sets the drilling, 24H, and both wheels use the same set.
Spokes are Sapim: the round Race (2.0/1.8mm double-butted) for durability, or the bladed CX-Ray for less weight and drag, both with black alloy nipples. Freehub bodies: Shimano Road (HG), Shimano Micro Spline Road 12S, SRAM XDR, Campagnolo N3W 13S.
Finish: matte or glossy carbon. Decals: None, Glossy Black. Bead: Hooked or Hookless.

One wheel set that covers road and gravel is two wheel sets you do not buy.
Ordering and lead time
Nextie builds each wheelset to order in Xiamen, so allow roughly two weeks for the build plus transit. The price at the top of the page is the complete wheelset as configured. Want a single wheel, a different hub, other spokes, or a wheel laced here in Georgia? Build it in the Custom Wheel Program, which opens with the Nextie Supreme Ocean 45G rim already selected.
Warranty
Manufacturer's warranty. Nextie warrants this product against defects in materials and workmanship. The duration, conditions and claim process are set by Nextie and can change without notice, so ask us and we will confirm the current terms before you buy.
ProWheelBuilder. These wheels were built at the factory, not on our bench, so it is the maker's warranty above that stands behind them - our own one-year wheel warranty covers wheels we lace ourselves. If you do need to claim, we will deal with the manufacturer for you.
Full terms are on our Policies & Warranty page.
Nextie Supreme Ocean 45G wheelset questions
Is the Ocean a wave-edge rim?
No. The Ocean 45G has a smooth outer wall with an aero profile. Nextie's wave-edge rims carry a -W in the name, such as the ARX-W and CRX-W.
Can I run gravel tires on the Ocean?
Yes. The 25mm inner width takes tires from 29 to 55mm, which covers most gravel tires as well as road tires from 30mm up.
Can I buy one Supreme Ocean 45G wheel on its own?
Not from this page: the factory-built wheelset is sold as a pair. A single front or rear wheel on this rim can be built in the Custom Wheel Program.
Which hub should I choose?
Rollingstar II is the value choice; Rollingstar III is the lighter hub set, about 60 grams lighter for the pair. Each hub is drilled one way, so the drilling and the hub are chosen together.
Is ProWheelBuilder the manufacturer of the Nextie Supreme Ocean 45G?
No. Nextie designs and manufactures the rims and hubs and builds this wheelset in Xiamen. ProWheelBuilder is an independent wheel builder in Georgia and a Nextie dealer: we sell it, check your choices before the order goes in and handle any warranty claim.
Not sure which size? Text or leave a voicemail on 470-253-0929 or email info@prowheelbuilder.com — you will be talking to the people who build the wheels.
