Nextie Premium CRX carbon wheelset
A complete wheelset built around the Premium CRX rim. Nextie laces a pair of Premium CRX rims to its own Rollingstar II Road or Rollingstar III Road hubs with Sapim spokes and black alloy nipples, in 4 sizes (33-70mm deep), tensions and trues both wheels in its Xiamen factory and ships the pair complete.

Building your pair
Every Nextie Premium CRX wheelset is sold as a front and rear pair, and the two wheels do not have to match. Pick the front depth and the rear depth separately: a shallower front for crosswinds with a deeper rear for speed is the common choice, and a matched pair is one click. The front is never deeper than the rear, so a deeper front with a shallower rear is not built. The rear follows the front until you choose a different one. Both wheels share the hub set, so they share the drilling; a depth that is not made in the drilling you picked is struck through.
Sizes, wheelset weights and prices
Wheelset weight is the complete pair as built: both rims, spokes, nipples and the hub set, from the lightest spoke and hub choice to the heaviest. Prices are for a matched pair on the least expensive hub; mixed front and rear pairs are priced from the two rims you choose.

The rim
The CRX is the modern Premium road rim: a 21mm inner width that suits today's 25 to 32mm tires, in 33, 45, 55 and 70mm depths. It spans everything from a 335-gram climbing rim to a 70mm time-trial section, for disc or rim brakes, in the Premium edition with a three-year warranty.
Premium is Nextie's balanced edition: a T700 and high-modulus T800 carbon mix, an independent spoke-bed mold for consistent spoke-hole thickness, roundness and flatness within 0.20mm, and a 3-year factory warranty - stiffness, deflection control and weight in balance. Nextie's first UCI-approved rim, the 45mm NXT45RC (September 2021), came out of the same Premium road program; the CRX sizes do not carry their own certificate. Nextie rates these rims for a maximum system weight of 137 to 174 kg (rider plus bike and gear). Hubs, spokes and drive
Hub choices: Nextie Rollingstar II Road 12x100 / 12x142 24H, Centerlock rotor mount; Nextie Rollingstar III Road 12x100 / 12x142 24H, Centerlock rotor mount. The hub sets the drilling, 24H, and both wheels use the same set.
Spokes are Sapim: the round Race (2.0/1.8mm double-butted) for durability, or the bladed CX-Ray for less weight and drag, both with black alloy nipples. Freehub bodies: Shimano Road (HG), Shimano Micro Spline Road 12S, SRAM XDR, Campagnolo N3W 13S.
Finish: matte or glossy carbon. Decals: None, Outline White, Solid Black, Glossy Solid Black, Solid Chromium. Bead: Hooked or Hookless.

The CRX gives you the same 21mm bed and depth choices as road rims costing two or three times as much, molded by Nextie and sold direct with a three-year warranty.
Ordering and lead time
Nextie builds each wheelset to order in Xiamen, so allow roughly two weeks for the build plus transit. The price at the top of the page is the complete wheelset as configured. Warranty
Manufacturer's warranty. Nextie warrants this product against defects in materials and workmanship. The duration, conditions and claim process are set by Nextie and can change without notice, so ask us and we will confirm the current terms before you buy.
ProWheelBuilder. This is a complete wheelset built by its manufacturer rather than in our shop, so the maker's warranty above is the one that applies to it. ProWheelBuilder's own one-year wheel warranty covers the wheels we build. We will still handle a manufacturer claim on your behalf.

Nextie Premium CRX wheelset questions
Which CRX depth should I choose?
Pick by your roads and the wind. The 33mm is the lightest at 335 grams, for climbing; the 45mm is the all-round depth; the 55mm and 70mm are faster on flat roads but catch more crosswind. If crosswinds worry you at 45mm or deeper, look at the wave-edge CRX-W.
Is the CRX available for rim brakes?
Yes. Like the RX, the CRX is offered with a rim-brake track or for disc brakes.
Can I run a different depth front and rear on the Nextie Premium CRX wheelset?
Yes. Pick the front and rear size separately; the price is the two rims you chose plus the build, and a matched pair costs exactly what it always has. Both wheels share one drilling because they share the hub set.
Can I buy one Premium CRX wheel on its own?
Not from this page: the factory-built wheelset is sold as a pair. A single front or rear wheel on this rim can be built in the Custom Wheel Program.
Which hub should I choose?
Rollingstar II is the value choice; Rollingstar III is the lighter hub set, about 60 grams lighter for the pair. Each hub is drilled one way, so the drilling and the hub are chosen together.
