White Industries Shimano TI Cassette Driver Body
The titanium Shimano HG driver body for White Industries rear hubs. It carries the standard Hyperglide spline pattern, so it takes the 8- through 12-speed Shimano-pattern cassettes that most road and mountain drivetrains are built around, including the many SRAM and aftermarket cassettes cut to the same interface.
Design and construction
The body is machined from titanium rather than aluminum, and that is the whole argument for it. An aluminum driver is lighter to make and cheaper to sell, but cassette sprockets under load dig into it - the individual cogs bed themselves into the splines until the cassette is awkward to remove and the spline edges are rounded. Titanium is hard enough to resist that bite, so the driver stays clean and the cassette keeps coming off with a normal tool for far longer.
White Industries has machined its components in Petaluma, California since 1978, and the company founded by Doug White still takes parts from raw bar stock to finished component in its own shop rather than farming the work out. That matters most on parts like this one, where the tolerances are small, the part is expected to be serviced rather than binned, and spares are still available years later. They even send it in recyclable packaging, which tells you something about how the place thinks.
Fit and compatibility
White Industries list it as driver type Shimano HG 8-12 Speed, part DRIVER15TS11. It weighs about 85g. It is a wearing part by design: it unthreads from the hub and replaces without touching spokes, rim or bearings.

Shimano TI cassette driver body questions
Which cassettes does the HG body take?
Shimano-pattern 8- to 12-speed cassettes, and the many cassettes from other makers cut to the same Hyperglide spline. It does not take SRAM XD or XDR, Micro Spline, or any Campagnolo cassette - those are separate driver bodies.
Will this fit my White Industries hub?
It fits the White Industries rear hubs built around their 15mm driver interface, which covers the current freehub-equipped models. If you are unsure which driver your hub already has, send us the hub and we will tell you, or text us and describe it.
Can I change driver standards later?
That is the point of a replaceable driver body. Changing drivetrain brand or speed count does not mean a new hub - it means a new driver body, which is a workshop job of minutes rather than a rebuild.
Is ProWheelBuilder the manufacturer of the White Industries Shimano TI Cassette Driver Body?
No. White Industries designs and manufactures it in Petaluma, California. ProWheelBuilder is an independent wheel builder in Georgia that stocks the part and fits it to the wheels we build.
